Ok, so I know I kinda late to this Twitter game but I am a fast learner! Over the last few months I have tried several Twitter clients for my BlackBerry Storm.
Seesmic: Free application, minimal footprint, fast screen response when scrolling on my Storm, but very light on options. Works well if you only want to keep up with Twitter posts without much control over client and editing.
ÜberTwitter: Trial version (paid version is ad free), larger footprint that Seesmic, lots of options (layout, menus, themes, menu bar config etc), easy to follow and unfollow, clean interface with lots of powerful options in a mobile client
Twitter (RIM): Free application, largest footprint of three reviewed here, more options than Seesmic but less than ÜberTwitter, unable to change themes or menu bar like ÜberTwitter, but overall a nice client
For my use, I find ÜberTwitter to be the best mobile client for my needs. Well worth the registration fee of $4.99 for one year of ad free use. It is the one I have settled on for my use currently.

I am even later to the location game, clients like FourSquare and Gowalla are two location base clients I have installed.
FourSquare: appears to be the current leader for clients on the BlackBerry platform, but seems to have issues with location – when I tested this client it was not very accurate with my current location. This could be an issue with my carrier but so far I have been unable to adjust. With location not being precise, when you check-in to a spot you are presented with a long list of locations. They can be miles away forcing you to scroll or verify exact address. The only way to accurately check-in at the right place of business etc.
Gowalla: This client does not appear to be as popular FourSquare (at least on the BlackBerry), but the interface has a much cleaner look IMHO. Again, I experienced issues with location on my phone. This reinforces my belief that I have an issue with my carrier and phone. When I reviewed recent posts (check-ins) by other users, for example:Taco Bell, the information indicated that this user checked-in to a Taco Bell in Mexico – way off by thousands of miles (lol). I attempted to correct where my phone location indicated but was unsuccessful. This application required me to turnoff compatibility mode on my Storm in order to get full screen and hide the keyboard, perhaps an update will address the issues?
Well I hope you have found this short review useful. Let me know what your experience has been and what clients you use.
